10.9 export mail folder

To export a mail folder from Outlook 2010 or later, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the "Export to a File" option

  1. Open Outlook and navigate to the folder you want to export.
  2. Right-click on the folder and select "Export to a File" from the context menu.
  3. In the "Export to a File" dialog box, select "Outlook Data File (.pst)" as the file type.
  4. Choose a location to save the file and enter a file name.
  5. Click "Export" to start the export process.

Method 2: Using the "Import/Export" wizard

  1. Open Outlook and navigate to the "File" menu.
  2. Click on "Open & Export" and then select "Export to a file" from the drop-down menu.
  3. In the "Import/Export" wizard, select "Export to a file" and then click "Next".
  4. Choose the folder you want to export and select "Outlook Data File (.pst)" as the file type.
  5. Choose a location to save the file and enter a file name.
  6. Click "Finish" to start the export process.

Method 3: Using the "PST" file format

  1. Open Outlook and navigate to the folder you want to export.
  2. Right-click on the folder and select "Copy" from the context menu.
  3. Open a new folder or create a new PST file using a third-party tool, such as PST Viewer or PST Explorer.
  4. Right-click on the new folder or PST file and select "Paste" to import the copied folder.

Note: When exporting a mail folder, you can choose to export only the items in the folder, or you can export the folder structure and all its contents.
