To set up a 123-reg email account on a Mac desktop, follow these steps:
Step 1: Create a new email account
- Open the Mail app on your Mac.
- Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Comma).
- Click on the "Accounts" tab.
- Click the "+" button at the bottom left corner of the window.
- Select "Other Mail Account" and click "Continue".
- Enter your name, email address, and password for your 123-reg email account.
- Click "Create" to create the account.
Step 2: Set up the email account
- Enter the following settings:
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.123-reg.co.uk
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.123-reg.co.uk
- User Name: your 123-reg email address
- Password: your 123-reg email password
- Click "Continue" to save the changes.
Step 3: Verify the email account
- Mail will try to verify your email account. If you don't see a verification message, you may need to check your spam folder or wait a few minutes.
