Here are the settings for configuring Windows Live Mail to connect to a mail server:
Incoming Mail Server (POP3)
- Server name:
mail.yourdomain.com
(replace with your domain name) - Port: 110
- Username: Your email address (e.g.
[email protected]
) - Password: Your email account password
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
- Server name:
mail.yourdomain.com
(replace with your domain name) - Port: 587
- Username: Your email address (e.g.
[email protected]
) - Password: Your email account password
Additional Settings
- Authentication: Use the same username and password for both incoming and outgoing mail servers
- SSL/TLS: Enable SSL/TLS encryption for both incoming and outgoing mail servers
- Authentication method: Use the "Normal password" option
Windows Live Mail Settings
- Open Windows Live Mail and go to the "Accounts" section.
- Click on "Add an email account" and select "Manual setup or additional server types".
- Select "POP3" as the account type and click "Next".
- Enter the incoming mail server settings (POP3) and click "Next".
- Enter the outgoing mail server settings (SMTP) and click "Next".
- Enter your email address and password, and click "Finish".
That's it! Your Windows Live Mail should now be configured to connect to your mail server.
