To set up your 1&1 Mail account with Windows Live Mail, follow these steps:
Step 1: Create an App Password
Before setting up your 1&1 Mail account with Windows Live Mail, you need to create an App Password. This is a one-time process that allows you to use your 1&1 Mail account with third-party applications like Windows Live Mail.
- Log in to your 1&1 Mail account.
- Click on the "Settings" icon (represented by a gear) in the top right corner of the page.
- Click on "Security" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "App passwords" section.
- Click on "Generate app password".
- Enter a name for the app password (e.g., "Windows Live Mail").
- Click on "Generate".
