Job Summary:

As a Mail Carrier, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to customers in a designated area. You will be the face of the United States Postal Service (USPS) and will interact with customers on a daily basis. Your duties will include sorting and delivering mail, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining a safe and efficient delivery route.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and deliver mail and packages to customers in a designated area
• Maintain accurate records of mail and packages delivered and undeliverable mail
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner
• Operate a mail truck or vehicle to transport mail and packages
• Lift and carry mailbags and packages weighing up to 70 pounds
• Walk or stand for long periods of time while delivering mail
• Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
• Report any issues or concerns to supervisors or management

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to lift and carry mailbags and packages weighing up to 70 pounds
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
• Valid driver's license (if applicable)
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or delivery role
• Knowledge of the USPS and its operations
• Ability to speak multiple languages
• Experience with mail sorting and delivery software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment:

• Work is performed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• May be required to work in a mail processing facility or office
• May be required to work in a fast-paced and noisy environment
• May be required to work in a confined space or on uneven terrain

Physical Demands:
