Access cloud mail through thunderbird
To access your cloud-based email account (e.g. Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo) through Thunderbird, you'll need to set up an IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) connection. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Prerequisites:
- Make sure you have Thunderbird installed on your computer.
- Your cloud-based email account is set up and you have the login credentials.
Step 1: Create a new account in Thunderbird
- Open Thunderbird and go to File > New > Email Account.
- Enter your name and email address in the required fields.
- Click Next.
Step 2: Choose the account type
- Select IMAP as the account type.
- Enter your email address and password in the required fields.
- Click Next.
Step 3: Configure the IMAP settings
- In the Incoming Server field, enter the IMAP server address for your cloud-based email provider:
