Accusé de réception iphone mail
The "Accusé de réception" (AR) is a feature in iPhone's Mail app that allows you to request a read receipt from the recipient. Here's how to use it:
Sending an email with a read receipt request:
- Open the Mail app on your iPhone.
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing one.
- Tap the "Send" button.
- Before sending the email, tap the "Send" button again to open the "Send Options" menu.
- Toggle the "Send Read Receipt" switch to the "On" position.
Receiving a read receipt:
- The recipient receives your email and opens it.
- When they open the email, they will be prompted to send a read receipt.
- If they agree to send a read receipt, they will receive a notification on their device.
- The read receipt will be sent to you, indicating that the recipient has opened the email.
Note:
- The recipient must have the "Send Read Receipt" feature enabled on their device for this to work.
- The read receipt will only be sent if the recipient opens the email, not if they just view the email's subject line or preview.
- Some email providers or companies may block or disable read receipts for security or privacy reasons.
To check if a read receipt has been sent, you can:
- Open the Mail app on your iPhone.
- Find the email you sent with the read receipt request.
- Tap the "Details" button (represented by an "i" icon) next to the email.
- Scroll down to the "Delivery Status" section.
- If a read receipt has been sent, you will see a "Read" or "Delivered" status next to the recipient's name.
