Activate two factor authentication in outlook mail

To activate Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in Outlook Mail, follow these steps:

Method 1: Enable 2FA using the Outlook Web App

  1. Log in to your Outlook Mail account using the web app (outlook.com).
  2. Click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner, then select "View account" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Scroll down to the "Security" section and click on "Two-step verification".
  4. Click on "Get started" to begin the setup process.
  5. Follow the prompts to set up 2FA using one of the following methods:
    • Authenticator app (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator)
    • SMS text message
    • Voice call
    • Microsoft account password

  1. Download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device.
