Add alias to apple mail

To add an alias in Apple Mail, follow these steps:

  1. Open Apple Mail and go to the "Mail" menu.
  2. Select "Preferences" from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on the "Accounts" tab.
  4. Select the account you want to add an alias for from the list of accounts on the left side of the window.
  5. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
  6. Scroll down to the "Outgoing Mail Server" section.
  7. Click on the "Edit" button next to "SMTP Server".
  8. In the "SMTP Server" window, click on the "Authentication" tab.
  9. Check the box next to "Use Authentication".
  10. Enter the username and password for the alias account.
  11. Click "OK" to close the "SMTP Server" window.
  12. Click "OK" to close the "Accounts" preferences window.

Now, when you send an email from Apple Mail using the alias account, the email will be sent using the alias account's email address and authentication credentials.

Note: You can also add an alias by creating a new email account in Apple Mail and setting it up as an alias account. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open Apple Mail and go to the "Mail" menu.
  2. Select "Add Account" from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select "Other Mail Account" from the list of account types.
  4. Enter the alias email address and password in the required fields.
  5. Click "Continue" to set up the account.
  6. Follow the prompts to complete the setup process.

Once the alias account is set up, you can use it to send emails from Apple Mail.
