Add bcc to outgoing mail in outlook
To add a Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) to an outgoing email in Outlook, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the BCC field in the email composition window
- Open a new email message in Outlook by clicking on the "New Email" button in the Home tab or by pressing Ctrl + Shift + E.
- In the "To" field, enter the email address of the recipient you want to send the email to.
- In the "CC" field, enter the email address of the recipient you want to send a copy to (optional).
- Click on the "BCC" field, which is usually located below the "CC" field.
- Enter the email address of the recipient you want to send a blind carbon copy to.
- Click "Send" to send the email.
Method 2: Using the "BCC" button in the ribbon
- Open a new email message in Outlook by clicking on the "New Email" button in the Home tab or by pressing Ctrl + Shift + E.
- In the "To" field, enter the email address of the recipient you want to send the email to.
- Click on the "BCC" button in the "Tags" group of the ribbon.
- Enter the email address of the recipient you want to send a blind carbon copy to.
- Click "OK" to add the BCC recipient.
- Click "Send" to send the email.
Method 3: Using the "Quick Steps" feature
- Open a new email message in Outlook by clicking on the "New Email" button in the Home tab or by pressing Ctrl + Shift + E.
- Click on the "Quick Steps" button in the "Tags" group of the ribbon.
- Click on the "Create a New Quick Step" button.
- In the "Quick Step" window, select "BCC" as the action.
- Enter the email address of the recipient you want to send a blind carbon copy to.
- Click "OK" to save the Quick Step.
- Click "Send" to send the email.
Note: To add a BCC recipient using the "Quick Steps" feature, you need to have the "Quick Steps" feature enabled in your Outlook settings. To enable it, go to File > Options > Quick Steps, and select the "Enable Quick Steps" checkbox.
