Add hotmail alternate email address

To add an alternate email address to your Hotmail account, follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the Hotmail Website

1. Sign in to your Hotmail account.
2. Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner of the page.
3. Select "View all Outlook settings" from the dropdown menu.
4. Scroll down to the "Accounts" section.
5. Click on "Add an account" and select "Alternate email address".
6. Enter the email address you want to add as an alternate address and click "Add".
7. You will receive a verification email at the new email address. Click on the verification link to confirm the addition.

Method 2: Using the Outlook App

1. Open the Outlook app on your device.
2. Tap on the three horizontal lines () in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Tap on "Settings" and then "Accounts".
4. Tap on "Add account" and select "Alternate email address".
5. Enter the email address you want to add as an alternate address and tap "Add".
6. You will receive a verification email at the new email address. Tap on the verification link to confirm the addition.

Note: You can add up to 5 alternate email addresses to your Hotmail account.

After adding an alternate email address, you can use it to:

• Receive emails sent to your Hotmail address
• Send emails from your Hotmail address using the alternate email address as the "From" address
• Use the alternate email address to reset your Hotmail password if you forget it
