Add name to royal mail redirection
To add a name to a Royal Mail redirection, you'll need to follow these steps:
Online Application
- Go to the Royal Mail website (www.royalmail.com) and click on "Redirection" at the top of the page.
- Click on "Apply for a redirection" and then select "Individual" as the type of redirection.
- Fill in the required details, including your name, address, and the address you want to redirect mail to.
- Enter the name of the person you want to add to the redirection (e.g. "John Smith").
- Review and confirm your application.
Phone Application
- Call Royal Mail's customer service number: 03457 740 740 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm).
- Tell the advisor you want to apply for a redirection and provide your name and address.
- Provide the name of the person you want to add to the redirection (e.g. "John Smith").
- The advisor will guide you through the application process and take your payment details.
Post Application
- Download and complete the Royal Mail Redirection application form (available on the Royal Mail website or by calling 03457 740 740).
- Fill in the required details, including your name, address, and the address you want to redirect mail to.
- Enter the name of the person you want to add to the redirection (e.g. "John Smith").
- Sign and date the form.
- Send the completed form to Royal Mail, along with the required payment.
Cost
The cost of a Royal Mail redirection with a name added is £33.99 for 6 months or £59.99 for 12 months.
Note
- You can only add a name to a redirection if you're the account holder or have the permission of the account holder.
