Add unread mail folder

To add an "Unread Mail" folder in Gmail, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Using Gmail Web Interface

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner of the page.
  3. Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Click on the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  5. Click on the "Create a new filter" button.
  6. In the "From" field, enter is:unread.
  7. Click on the "Create filter" button.
  8. In the "Apply the label" dropdown menu, select "New label" and enter "Unread Mail".
  9. Click on the "Create" button.

Method 2: Using Gmail Mobile App

  1. Open the Gmail app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on the three horizontal lines () in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Tap on "Settings" from the menu.
  4. Scroll down to the "Filters" section.
  5. Tap on "Create a new filter".
  6. In the "From" field, enter is:unread.
  7. Tap on the "Create" button.
  8. In the "Apply the label" dropdown menu, select "New label" and enter "Unread Mail".
  9. Tap on the "Create" button.

Once you've created the "Unread Mail" folder, you can access it by clicking on the label in your Gmail inbox or by searching for label:unread mail in the search bar.

Note: If you're using Gmail's "Inbox" feature, you may not need to create a separate "Unread Mail" folder, as the "Inbox" folder will automatically show you unread emails.
