Adding btinternet mail to outlook
To add BT Internet email to Outlook, you'll need to set up an IMAP or POP3 account. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you do so:
Method 1: IMAP Setup
- Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account.
- Select Manual setup or additional server types and click Next.
- Choose Internet Email and click Next.
- Enter your BT Internet email address and password.
- In the Server Information section:
- Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.btinternet.com
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.btinternet.com
- Port: 143 (IMAP) and 587 (SMTP)
- Click More Settings and go to the Outgoing Server tab.

- Click More Settings and go to the Outgoing Server tab.
- Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Click OK to close the More Settings window.
