Adding spam folder to apple mail

To add a Spam folder to Apple Mail on your Mac or iOS device, follow these steps:

On a Mac:

  1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
  2. Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences."
  3. Click on the "Accounts" tab.
  4. Select your email account from the list of accounts.
  5. Click on the "Spam" tab.
  6. Check the box next to "Enable Spam Filtering" to turn it on.
  7. Choose how you want to handle spam messages:
    • "Move to Junk Mailbox" will move spam messages to a folder called "Junk" in your mailbox.
    • "Delete" will delete spam messages immediately.
  8. Click "OK" to save your changes.

On an iOS device:

  1. Open the Mail app on your iOS device.
  2. Tap on the "Mailboxes" tab.
  3. Tap on the "Edit" button in the top right corner.
  4. Tap on the "Add Mailbox" button.
  5. Type in a name for your Spam folder (e.g. "Spam").
  6. Tap "Save" to create the new folder.
  7. Go back to the "Mailboxes" tab and tap on the "Spam" folder you just created.
  8. Tap on the "Edit" button in the top right corner.
  9. Tap on the "Spam" switch to turn it on.
  10. Choose how you want to handle spam messages:
    • "Move to Junk" will move spam messages to the "Junk" folder.
    • "Delete" will delete spam messages immediately.

Note: If you're using iCloud Mail, you may need to enable spam filtering in your iCloud account settings instead. To do this, go to icloud.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and click on "Settings" (gear icon). Then, click on "Mail" and toggle on "Spam filtering."
