Here are the steps to set up an email account in Outlook:

Step 1: Open Outlook

• Open Outlook on your computer or mobile device.

Step 2: Add a New Account

• Click on the "File" tab in the top left corner of the Outlook window.
• Click on "Add Account" from the drop-down menu.
• Click on "Manual setup or additional server types" and then click "Next".

Step 3: Choose Your Account Type

• Select "POP or IMAP" as your account type.
• Click "Next".

Step 4: Enter Your Account Information

• Enter your name, email address, and password.
• Make sure to select the correct server settings:
  • Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com (or your email provider's IMAP server)
  • Outgoing mail server: smtp.gmail.com (or your email provider's SMTP server)
• Click "Next".

Step 5: Set Up Your Account

• Outlook will attempt to connect to your email account.
• If everything is set up correctly, you should see a confirmation message.
• Click "Finish" to complete the setup process.

Step 6: Set Up Your Account Settings

• Go to the "File" tab and click on "Account Settings".
• Click on "Account Settings" again from the drop-down menu.
• Make sure your account is set up to use IMAP or POP3.
• You can also set up your account to use two-factor authentication (2FA) if required.

Step 7: Start Using Outlook

• You can now start using Outlook to send and receive emails.
• You can also set up your calendar, contacts, and tasks in Outlook.

• Gmail: imap.gmail.com (IMAP), smtp.gmail.com (SMTP)
• Yahoo: imap.yahoo.com (IMAP), smtp.yahoo.com (SMTP)
• Outlook.com: imap.outlook.com (IMAP), smtp.outlook.com (SMTP)
• AOL: imap.aol.com (IMAP), smtp.aol.com (SMTP)
