Gmail doesn't have a built-in "Aim" feature, as Aim was a messaging service provided by AOL (America Online) that was discontinued in 2017.

However, you can still use Gmail's built-in features to achieve similar functionality:

1. Chat: Gmail has a built-in chat feature that allows you to communicate with your contacts in real-time. You can access it by clicking on the chat icon in the top right corner of your inbox.
2. Hangouts: Gmail also integrates with Google Hangouts, which allows you to make voice and video calls, as well as send messages to your contacts.
3. Google Voice: If you have a Google Voice number, you can use it to make and receive calls, as well as send texts and voicemails.
