Aliant send mail as other address

You're looking to send an email from an Aliant (now known as Bell) email address, but have it appear as if it was sent from a different email address.

This is known as "spoofing" or "forging" the sender's email address. Unfortunately, most email providers, including Aliant/Bell, have measures in place to prevent this type of activity to prevent spam and phishing attacks.

However, there are a few legitimate ways to achieve this:

  1. Use an email alias: If you have an Aliant/Bell email account, you can create an email alias, which is an alternative email address that forwards emails to your primary email address. You can then use this alias as the sender's email address.
  2. Use a third-party email service: Services like Sendinblue, Mailgun, or Sendgrid allow you to send emails on behalf of another email address. You'll need to set up an account with one of these services and configure it to use your Aliant/Bell email address as the sender.
  3. Use a custom email client: Some email clients, like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird, allow you to specify a custom "From" address when sending an email. You can set up your Aliant/Bell email account in one of these clients and use the "From" field to specify the desired sender's email address.

Please note that some email providers may still block or flag emails that appear to be sent from a different email address, even if you're using a legitimate method to achieve this. It's always a good idea to check with your email provider's terms of service and spam policies before sending emails with a different sender's address.
