Alias mail id creation in hot mail

A blast from the past!

Hotmail, now known as Outlook.com, allows you to create an alias email address, also known as a "plus address" or "plus sign address". This feature allows you to create a new email address that forwards emails to your primary Hotmail address.

Here's how to create an alias email address in Hotmail:

  1. Log in to your Hotmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner of the page.
  3. Select "View all Outlook settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Scroll down to the "Accounts" section.
  5. Click on "Manage your email aliases".
  6. Click on "Add an alias".
  7. Enter the new alias email address you want to create (e.g., [email protected]).
  8. Click "Save".

Once you've created the alias email address, any emails sent to that address will be forwarded to your primary Hotmail address.

Note: You can create up to 10 alias email addresses per account.

Also, keep in mind that alias email addresses are not the same as forwarding rules. Forwarding rules allow you to forward emails from one email address to another, whereas alias email addresses create a new email address that forwards emails to your primary address.
