Check your Gmail settings
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner.
- Select "See all settings."
- Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
- Check if you have any filters set up that might be blocking your mail.
- Make sure that "Spam" is not selected as the default label for incoming messages.
Check your email client settings
- If you're using an email client like Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, or Apple Mail, check your settings to ensure that your Gmail account is set up correctly.
- Verify that your email client is not configured to mark all incoming emails as spam.
Check for spam triggers
- Review your email content to see if you're using any spam triggers, such as:
- All caps in the subject line or body.
- Excessive use of punctuation or special characters.
- Unsolicited commercial emails (spam).
- Links to suspicious websites.
- Try rewriting your email to avoid these triggers.
Check for email blacklists
- Check if your IP address or domain is listed on any blacklists, such as Spamhaus or SORBS.
- If you're listed, contact the blacklist provider to request removal.
Contact Gmail support
- If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you can contact Gmail support for further assistance.
- Provide them with detailed information about the issue, including any error messages you've received.
Additional tips
- Make sure you're not sending emails with attachments that are too large or contain viruses.
- Avoid using spammy keywords or phrases in your email subject lines or bodies.
- Consider using a third-party email client or service that offers better spam filtering options.
I hope these steps help you resolve the issue and get your emails delivered to your inbox again!
