All outgoing mail block from gmail
A drastic measure!
If you want to block all outgoing mail from your Gmail account, you can do so by setting up a filter in your Gmail settings. Here's how:
Method 1: Using Gmail Filters
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
- Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
- Click on "Create a new filter."
- In the "From" field, enter
@*
(this will match all outgoing emails). - Click "Create filter."
- In the "Apply the label" dropdown menu, select "Block."
- Click "Create."
This will block all outgoing emails from your Gmail account.
Method 2: Using Gmail's "Block all outgoing emails" feature
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
- Go to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Send mail as" section.
- Click on the "Edit" button next to "Send mail as."
- In the "Send mail as" window, click on the "Block all outgoing emails" checkbox.
- Click "Save Changes."
This will block all outgoing emails from your Gmail account.
Important notes:
- Before blocking all outgoing emails, make sure you have a backup of your important emails and contacts, as this action cannot be undone.
- If you need to send emails from your Gmail account in the future, you will need to disable this block or set up a new email account.
- This block will not affect incoming emails, only outgoing emails.
