Ameritech.net email server settings
A blast from the past!
Ameritech was a regional Bell operating company that provided telephone and internet services in the Midwest, particularly in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. In 2000, Ameritech merged with SBC Communications, which later changed its name to AT&T.
If you're still using an @ameritech.net email address, you may need to update your email client or device to use the correct server settings. Here are the email server settings for Ameritech.net:
Incoming (POP3) Server Settings:
- Server: pop.att.yahoo.com
- Port: 110
- Username: Your full @ameritech.net email address
- Password: Your email account password
Outgoing (SMTP) Server Settings:
- Server: smtp.att.yahoo.com
- Port: 587
- Username: Your full @ameritech.net email address
- Password: Your email account password
Additional Settings:
- Authentication: Use the same username and password for both incoming and outgoing servers.
- SSL/TLS: Enable SSL/TLS encryption for both incoming and outgoing servers.
Please note that these settings may have changed since Ameritech merged with AT&T. If you're experiencing issues with your email account, you may want to contact AT&T's customer support for assistance.
Also, keep in mind that @ameritech.net email addresses are no longer actively supported by AT&T. If you're still using this email address, you may want to consider switching to a more modern email service, such as @att.net or @yahoo.com.
