Android mail app sync all folders

By default, the Android Mail app (also known as Gmail app) syncs only the Inbox, Sent, and Draft folders. However, you can configure it to sync all folders, including custom labels and subfolders. Here's how:

Method 1: Using the Gmail app settings

  1. Open the Gmail app on your Android device.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) on the top left corner.
  3. Tap "Settings" (gear icon).
  4. Scroll down to the "Accounts" section.
  5. Tap on your email account.
  6. Tap "Sync email" and select "Sync all folders" from the dropdown menu.

Method 2: Using the Android Settings app

  1. Go to the Android Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and select "Accounts" or "Google" (depending on your Android version).
  3. Select your email account.
  4. Tap "Sync account" or "Sync now".
  5. Look for the "Sync all folders" option and toggle it on.

Method 3: Using IMAP

If you're using IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) to connect to your email account, you can configure the Android Mail app to sync all folders using IMAP. Here's how:

  1. Open the Gmail app on your Android device.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) on the top left corner.
  3. Tap "Settings" (gear icon).
  4. Scroll down to the "Accounts" section.
  5. Tap on your email account.
  6. Tap "IMAP" and toggle it on.
  7. Enter the IMAP settings for your email account (you can find these settings in your email provider's documentation).
  8. Tap "Next" and then "Sync now" to sync all folders.

Note that syncing all folders may increase the amount of data transferred between your device and the email server, which may impact your data plan or battery life.
