Android mail app with html signature

The eternal quest for a decent email client on Android!

Unfortunately, the built-in Android Mail app does not support HTML signatures out of the box. However, there are a few workarounds and alternative email clients that can help you achieve this:

Workaround 1: Use a third-party email client with HTML signature support

  1. Install a third-party email client that supports HTML signatures, such as:
    • K-9 Mail (free, open-source)
    • Nine (free, with ads)
    • Aqua Mail (free, with ads)
    • Microsoft Outlook (paid)
  2. Configure your email account in the new client.
  3. Create an HTML signature using a text editor or a web-based signature generator.
  4. Copy the HTML code and paste it into the email client's signature settings.

Workaround 2: Use a signature generator app

  1. Install a signature generator app, such as:
    • Signature Maker (free)
    • HTML Signature Generator (free)
  2. Create an HTML signature using the app.
  3. Copy the HTML code and paste it into the Android Mail app's signature settings.

Android Mail app workaround

  1. Create a plain text signature using a text editor.
  2. In the Android Mail app, go to Settings > Signature.
  3. Paste the plain text signature into the signature field.
  4. To add a basic HTML formatting, you can use Markdown syntax, such as:
    • [Your Name](http://yourwebsite.com) for a link
    • **Bold text** for bold text
    • *Italic text* for italic text
  5. Note that this workaround has limited formatting options compared to using a third-party email client or a signature generator app.

Tips and limitations

I hope this helps you find a solution for adding an HTML signature to your Android Mail app!
