Android mail dark mode
Android's default email app, Gmail, and many other email clients have a dark mode feature that allows you to switch to a darker color scheme. Here's how to enable dark mode on Android's default email app and some popular email clients:
Android's Default Email App:
- Open the default email app on your Android device.
- Tap the three vertical dots (⋮) on the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap on "Settings" or "Preferences".
- Scroll down to the "Display" or "Appearance" section.
- Look for the "Dark mode" or "Night mode" option and toggle it on.
Gmail:
- Open the Gmail app on your Android device.
- Tap the three horizontal lines (≡) on the top left corner of the screen.
- Tap on "Settings".
- Scroll down to the "General" section.
- Look for the "Theme" option and select "Dark".
- You can also enable dark mode for individual accounts by going to the account settings and selecting "Dark" under the "Theme" option.
Other Email Clients:
- Microsoft Outlook: Open the Outlook app, go to Settings (⋮), then select "Settings" or "Options", and toggle on "Dark theme".
- ProtonMail: Open the ProtonMail app, go to Settings (⋮), then select "Appearance", and toggle on "Dark theme".
- Yahoo Mail: Open the Yahoo Mail app, go to Settings (⋮), then select "Settings", and toggle on "Dark mode".
- Inbox by Gmail: Open the Inbox app, go to Settings (⋮), then select "Settings", and toggle on "Dark mode".
Third-Party Email Clients:
Many third-party email clients, such as K-9 Mail, Aqua Mail, and Nine, also offer dark mode options. Check the app's settings or preferences to enable dark mode.
Remember that some email clients may not have a built-in dark mode feature, so you may need to use a third-party theme or customization app to achieve a dark mode look.
