You can request a free annual credit report by mail from each of the three major credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) through the Annual Credit Report website or by calling the toll-free number 1-877-322-8228.

Here's how to request a free annual credit report by mail:

1. Go to the Annual Credit Report website (www.annualcreditreport.com) and click on the "Request Your Report" button.
2. Fill out the online request form with your personal information, including your name, address, Social Security number, and date of birth.
3. Select the option to receive your report by mail.
4. You will receive a confirmation email with a unique code to verify your identity.
5. Once you've verified your identity, you will receive your free annual credit report by mail within 15 days.
