Ansgear comcast webmail

A blast from the past!

AnsGear was a web-based email client provided by Comcast, a major internet service provider in the United States. AnsGear was introduced in the early 2000s and was designed to provide a simple and easy-to-use email interface for Comcast customers.

AnsGear allowed users to access their Comcast email accounts from any web browser, without the need to install a dedicated email client on their computer. The service offered features such as:

  1. Email storage: AnsGear provided a generous amount of email storage space, allowing users to store and manage their emails online.
  2. Spam filtering: AnsGear included built-in spam filtering capabilities to help block unwanted emails.
  3. Virus scanning: The service also included virus scanning capabilities to protect users from malware and other online threats.
  4. Calendar and contacts: AnsGear allowed users to manage their calendars and contacts online, making it easy to stay organized and connected.

However, in 2013, Comcast announced that it would be discontinuing AnsGear and replacing it with a new email client called Xfinity Connect. Xfinity Connect offered many of the same features as AnsGear, but with a more modern and user-friendly interface.

Today, Comcast customers can access their email accounts through the Xfinity Connect platform, which is available online and through the Xfinity app on mobile devices.
