Aol forward mail

The nostalgia!

AOL (America Online) Forward Mail was a feature that allowed users to forward their AOL email to an external email address. This feature was available from 1996 to 2015, when AOL discontinued its email service.

Here's how it worked:

  1. You had an AOL email account (e.g., [username]@aol.com).
  2. You wanted to forward your AOL email to an external email address (e.g., [username]@gmail.com).
  3. You would log in to your AOL account and go to the "Mail" section.
  4. Click on "Settings" and then "Forwarding" (or "Forward Mail" in older versions).
  5. Enter the external email address you wanted to forward your AOL email to.
  6. Choose the forwarding option: "Forward all mail" or "Forward mail with attachments" (depending on your preference).
  7. Click "Save" to save the changes.

Once you set up forwarding, any new emails sent to your AOL email address would be automatically forwarded to your external email address. This was a convenient way to keep your AOL email account active while still accessing your emails through your preferred email client or service.

Keep in mind that AOL Forward Mail was only available for AOL email accounts, and you needed to have an active AOL account to use this feature.
