Apartment in you've got mail

A classic rom-com!

In the 1998 movie "You've Got Mail", the main characters, Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) and Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan), own rival bookstores in New York City. They also unknowingly fall in love with each other online, as "NY152" and "Shopgirl", respectively.

The apartment that Kathleen lives in is a cozy, charming brownstone in the West Village, which is often shown in the movie. The exterior shots of the apartment building are actually of a real building located at 64 Perry Street in the West Village, Manhattan.

The interior scenes of Kathleen's apartment were filmed on a soundstage, but the exterior shots of the building have become iconic and are often referenced in popular culture.
