Apple mail archive

The joys of email management!

Apple Mail allows you to archive your emails, which means moving them out of your inbox and into a separate folder. Here's how to do it:

Method 1: Using the "Archive" button

  1. Open Apple Mail and select the email you want to archive.
  2. Click the "Archive" button in the toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + A.
  3. The email will be moved to the "Archive" folder, which is located in the "Mailboxes" list on the left side of the screen.

Method 2: Using the "Move to" feature

  1. Select the email you want to archive.
  2. Right-click (or control-click) on the selected email and choose "Move to" from the context menu.
  3. In the "Move to" dialog box, select the "Archive" folder from the list of available folders.
  4. Click "Move" to move the email to the "Archive" folder.

Method 3: Using the "Rules" feature

  1. Go to Mail > Preferences > Rules.
  2. Click the "+" button to create a new rule.
  3. In the "If" section, select "Any" and then "Message is in" and choose "Inbox".
  4. In the "Then" section, select "Move message" and choose the "Archive" folder.
  5. Click "Save" to save the rule.

By archiving your emails, you can keep your inbox organized and focused on new, unread messages. You can always search for archived emails if you need to access them later.

Note: If you're using iCloud Mail, you can also archive emails using the iCloud website or the Mail app on your iOS device.
