To delete an archived email in Apple Mail on a Mac:

  2. Select "Archived" from the list of mailboxes.
  3. Find the email you want to delete and select it.
  4. Right-click (or control-click) on the selected email and choose "Move to Trash" from the context menu.
  5. Alternatively, you can also select the email and press the "Delete" key on your keyboard.
  6. Confirm that you want to delete the email by clicking "Move to Trash" in the dialog box that appears.

Note: If you want to permanently delete the email, you'll need to empty the Trash mailbox. To do this:

  1. Go to the "Mailbox" menu and select "Trash".
  2. Select all the emails in the Trash mailbox by pressing Command+A.
  3. Right-click (or control-click) on the selected emails and choose "Empty Trash" from the context menu.
  4. Confirm that you want to permanently delete the emails by clicking "Empty Trash" in the dialog box that appears.

Alternatively, you can also use the keyboard shortcut Command+Shift+Delete to move an email to the Trash mailbox, and then empty the Trash mailbox as described above to permanently delete the email.
