Apple mail attachments at top of message

By default, Apple Mail displays attachments at the bottom of the message. However, you can change this behavior to display attachments at the top of the message by following these steps:

For macOS High Sierra (10.13) and later:

  1. Open Apple Mail and go to Mail > Preferences.
  2. Click on the General tab.
  3. Uncheck the box next to Place attachments below quoted text.
  4. Click OK to save the changes.

For macOS Sierra (10.12) and earlier:

  1. Open Apple Mail and go to Mail > Preferences.
  2. Click on the Viewing tab.
  3. Uncheck the box next to Attachements below quoted text.
  4. Click OK to save the changes.

After making these changes, your attachments should now appear at the top of the message in Apple Mail.
