Apple mail attachments in body of email

The frustration of trying to attach files to an email in Apple Mail!

By default, Apple Mail doesn't allow you to attach files directly to the body of an email. Instead, you need to add them as separate attachments. However, there are a few workarounds to achieve this:

Method 1: Use the "Insert File" feature

  1. Open Apple Mail and compose a new email.
  2. Click on the "Insert" menu and select "File" (or use the keyboard shortcut ⌘ + Shift + F).
  3. Select the file you want to attach from your computer.
  4. The file will be added as an attachment to the email.
  5. To move the attachment to the body of the email, select the attachment and drag it to the body of the email.

Method 2: Use the "Paste and Match Style" feature

  1. Open Apple Mail and compose a new email.
  2. Copy the file you want to attach (e.g., from the Finder or another app).
  3. Open Apple Mail and paste the file into the body of the email using the "Paste and Match Style" feature (⌘ + Shift + V).
  4. The file will be added to the body of the email as a link.

Method 3: Use a third-party email client or plugin

If you're looking for a more seamless experience, you can consider using a third-party email client like Airmail, Spark, or Polymail, which offer more advanced features, including the ability to attach files directly to the body of an email.

Alternatively, you can use a plugin like "Attach to Body" (available for Apple Mail) or "Email Attachments" (available for Spark), which can help you attach files to the body of an email.

I hope these methods help you achieve your goal!
