Apple mail auto reply message
To set up an auto-reply message in Apple Mail, follow these steps:
For macOS High Sierra (10.13) and later:
- Open Apple Mail and select "Mail" from the top menu bar.
- Click on "Preferences" from the drop-down menu.
- In the Preferences window, click on the "General" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Automatically reply to messages" section.
- Select the "Automatically reply to messages" checkbox.
- Enter your auto-reply message in the text field provided.
- Choose the duration for which you want the auto-reply to be active (e.g., "Until I return" or "Until [date]").
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
For macOS Sierra (10.12) and earlier:
- Open Apple Mail and select "Mail" from the top menu bar.
- Click on "Preferences" from the drop-down menu.
- In the Preferences window, click on the "Accounts" tab.
- Select your email account from the list of accounts.
- Click on the "Advanced" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Automatically reply to messages" section.
- Select the "Automatically reply to messages" checkbox.
- Enter your auto-reply message in the text field provided.
- Choose the duration for which you want the auto-reply to be active (e.g., "Until I return" or "Until [date]").
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
Note: Auto-reply messages will only be sent to messages that are received while the feature is enabled. If you want to send an auto-reply to all incoming messages, you can set up a rule in Apple Mail to forward all incoming messages to your auto-reply address.
Also, keep in mind that auto-reply messages may not work as expected if you have multiple email accounts set up in Apple Mail, or if you're using a third-party email client or service.
