Apple mail automatic replies

The convenience of automatic replies in Apple Mail!

To set up automatic replies in Apple Mail, follow these steps:

For macOS:

  1. Open Apple Mail and go to Mail > Preferences.
  2. Click on Accounts.
  3. Select the account you want to set up automatic replies for.
  4. Click on the Account Information tab.
  5. Scroll down to the Outgoing Mail Server section.
  6. Click on the Edit button next to Outgoing Mail Server.
  7. In the Outgoing Mail Server window, click on the Advanced tab.
  8. Check the box next to Automatically reply to messages.
  9. Enter your reply message in the text field.
  10. Choose the reply interval (e.g., every 1 hour, every 2 hours, etc.).
  11. Click OK to save your changes.

For iOS:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap on Mail.
  3. Tap on Accounts.
  4. Select the account you want to set up automatic replies for.
  5. Tap on SMTP.
  6. Scroll down to the Outgoing Mail Server section.
  7. Tap on the Edit button next to Outgoing Mail Server.
  8. In the Outgoing Mail Server window, toggle the switch next to Automatically reply to messages to the On position.
  9. Enter your reply message in the text field.
  10. Choose the reply interval (e.g., every 1 hour, every 2 hours, etc.).
  11. Tap Save to save your changes.

Note: Automatic replies are only sent for messages received through the selected account. If you have multiple accounts set up in Apple Mail, you'll need to set up automatic replies for each account separately.

Also, keep in mind that automatic replies may not work if your email provider has specific settings or restrictions in place.
