Apple mail bcc field

The BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) field in Apple Mail!

The BCC field is a feature in Apple Mail that allows you to send an email to multiple recipients without including their email addresses in the "To" or "CC" fields. This is useful when you want to send an email to a large number of people, but you don't want to reveal their email addresses to each other.

Here's how to use the BCC field in Apple Mail:

  1. Open Apple Mail and compose a new email.
  2. In the "To" field, enter the email address of the first recipient you want to send the email to.
  3. Click on the "BCC" field, which is usually located below the "To" field.
  4. Enter the email addresses of the additional recipients you want to send the email to. You can separate multiple email addresses with commas.
  5. Click "Send" to send the email.

When you use the BCC field, the email addresses of the recipients will not be visible to each other. The "To" field will only show the email address of the first recipient you entered, and the "CC" field will be empty.

Note that some email providers may not allow you to use the BCC field, or may have restrictions on the number of recipients you can send an email to using BCC. Additionally, using the BCC field can be seen as a way to hide the email addresses of the recipients, which may not be in line with anti-spam laws or email etiquette guidelines.

It's also worth noting that using the BCC field can make it more difficult to track the delivery and read receipts of the email, as the email addresses of the recipients will not be visible in the email headers.
