Apple mail can't see html attachments

That's frustrating!

Apple Mail's default behavior is to not display HTML attachments as HTML content. Instead, it usually shows the attachment as a plain text file or a binary file, depending on the type of attachment.

There are a few reasons why this might be happening:

  1. HTML attachments are not supported: Apple Mail doesn't natively support displaying HTML attachments as HTML content. This is because HTML attachments are essentially ZIP files containing HTML code, and Apple Mail doesn't have a built-in way to extract and render HTML content from these attachments.
  2. Security concerns: Apple Mail might be blocking HTML attachments to prevent potential security risks, such as malicious code or phishing attacks.
  3. Settings or configuration issues: There might be a setting or configuration issue that's preventing Apple Mail from displaying HTML attachments correctly.

To work around this issue, you can try the following:

  1. Save the attachment and open it in a web browser: Right-click (or control-click) on the HTML attachment and select "Save As" or "Download Linked File." Then, open the saved file in a web browser like Safari or Chrome to view the HTML content.
  2. Use a third-party email client: If you're using Apple Mail on a Mac, you can try using a third-party email client like Mozilla Thunderbird or Microsoft Outlook, which might support displaying HTML attachments.
  3. Check your email provider's settings: If you're using a third-party email provider, check their settings to see if they have any specific configurations or settings that might be affecting the display of HTML attachments.
  4. Try using a different email account: If you're using a work or school email account, try logging in with a different email account to see if the issue persists.

If none of these workarounds help, you can try reaching out to Apple Support or your email provider's support team for further assistance.
