Apple mail choose account to send from

To choose an account to send from in Apple Mail on a Mac or iOS device, follow these steps:

Mac:

  1. Open Apple Mail.
  2. Click on the "Mail" menu at the top of the screen.
  3. Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Click on the "Accounts" tab.
  5. Select the account you want to use as the default sending account from the list of accounts on the left.
  6. Click "OK" to save your changes.

Alternatively, you can also choose an account to send from when composing a new email:

  1. Open Apple Mail and click on the "Compose" button to start a new email.
  2. In the "From" field, click on the dropdown menu next to the account name.
  3. Select the account you want to use from the list of available accounts.
  4. The email will be sent from the selected account.

iOS:

  1. Open the Mail app on your iOS device.
  2. Tap on the "Mail" button at the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Tap on "Accounts" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Tap on the account you want to use as the default sending account.
  5. Tap "Done" to save your changes.

Alternatively, you can also choose an account to send from when composing a new email:

  1. Open the Mail app and tap on the "Compose" button to start a new email.
  2. Tap on the "From" field at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap on the account name to select from a list of available accounts.
  4. The email will be sent from the selected account.

Note: If you have multiple accounts set up in Apple Mail, you can also use the "Send from" feature to specify which account to use for a specific email. To do this, compose a new email, tap on the "From" field, and then tap on "Send from" at the top of the screen. Select the account you want to use from the list of available accounts.
