Apple mail delete folder

To delete a folder in Apple Mail on a Mac, follow these steps:

  1. Open Apple Mail and navigate to the folder you want to delete.
  2. Select the folder by clicking on it once.
  3. Right-click (or control-click) on the folder and select "Delete" from the context menu.
  4. Confirm that you want to delete the folder by clicking "Delete" in the dialog box that appears.

Alternatively, you can also delete a folder in Apple Mail by using the "Edit" menu:

  1. Open Apple Mail and navigate to the folder you want to delete.
  2. Select the folder by clicking on it once.
  3. Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Delete" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Confirm that you want to delete the folder by clicking "Delete" in the dialog box that appears.

Note: If you have any messages or other items in the folder that you want to keep, you will need to move them to a different folder before you can delete the folder.

Also, if you are using iCloud Mail, you may need to delete the folder on your Mac and then delete it again on your iPhone or iPad to completely remove it from your account.

It's also worth noting that if you are using a IMAP account, deleting a folder on your Mac will not delete the folder on the server, it will only delete the local copy of the folder on your Mac.
