Apple mail delete from server

The eternal quest for email management!

To delete an email from the server using Apple Mail, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Delete from the Mail app

  1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac or iOS device.
  2. Select the email you want to delete from the list of messages.
  3. Right-click (or Control-click) on the selected email and choose "Mark as Junk Mail" or "Move to Trash" (depending on your email provider's settings).
  4. Confirm that you want to delete the email by clicking "Move to Trash" or "Mark as Junk Mail" again.

Method 2: Delete from the Mailbox menu

  1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac or iOS device.
  2. Select the email you want to delete from the list of messages.
  3. Go to the "Mailbox" menu (or "Edit" menu on iOS) and select "Delete Message" (or press the Delete key on your keyboard).
  4. Confirm that you want to delete the email by clicking "Delete" or "Move to Trash" (depending on your email provider's settings).

Method 3: Use the "Delete" key

  1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac or iOS device.
  2. Select the email you want to delete from the list of messages.
  3. Press the Delete key on your keyboard to delete the email.

Note: When you delete an email from Apple Mail, it will typically be moved to the "Trash" folder on your email provider's server. However, the email may not be immediately deleted from the server, as some email providers may have a delay or a "trash" folder that holds deleted emails for a certain period of time. To permanently delete the email from the server, you may need to log in to your email provider's web interface and empty the "Trash" folder or use their "Permanently Delete" feature.
