Apple mail drop limit

In Apple Mail, there is a limit to the number of messages you can send at one time, known as the "send limit" or "send queue limit". This limit is in place to prevent abuse and ensure that your email account doesn't get overwhelmed with too many messages being sent at once.

The default send limit in Apple Mail is 100 messages, but you can adjust this limit in the Mail app settings. Here's how:

For macOS:

  1. Open the Mail app on your Mac.
  2. Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences".
  3. Click on the "Composing" tab.
  4. Look for the "Send limit" option and adjust the number to your desired limit.

For iOS:

  1. Open the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap on the "Mail" icon in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Tap on "Settings" (represented by a gear icon).
  4. Scroll down and tap on "Send Mail".
  5. Look for the "Send limit" option and adjust the number to your desired limit.

Note that the send limit applies to each email account separately, so if you have multiple email accounts set up in Apple Mail, you'll need to adjust the send limit for each account individually.

It's also worth noting that if you exceed the send limit, Apple Mail will automatically pause sending messages until the queue is cleared. You can check the send queue by going to the "Mail" menu and selecting "Send Queue" (on Mac) or "Send Queue" (on iOS).
