Apple mail export function

Apple Mail has a built-in export function that allows you to export your emails, contacts, and other data to various formats. Here are the steps to export data from Apple Mail:

Exporting Emails:

  1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
  2. Select the mailbox or folder you want to export from the sidebar.
  3. Go to File > Export > Export Mailbox.
  4. Choose the export format: EML (individual emails), MBOX (mailbox), or PDF (emails as a PDF document).
  5. Select the export location and choose a name for the export file.
  6. Click Export to start the export process.

Exporting Contacts:

  1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
  2. Go to Mailbox > Contacts.
  3. Select the contacts you want to export by holding down the Command key and clicking on each contact.
  4. Right-click (or control-click) on the selected contacts and choose Export.
  5. Choose the export format: VCard (individual contacts), CSV (contacts as a comma-separated file), or Address Book (contacts in the Address Book format).
  6. Select the export location and choose a name for the export file.
  7. Click Export to start the export process.
