Apple mail flag set rule
In Apple Mail, you can set a rule to flag emails based on specific conditions. Here's how:
Step 1: Create a new rule
- Open Apple Mail and go to Mail > Preferences > Rules.
- Click the "+" button at the bottom left corner of the window to create a new rule.
Step 2: Set the condition
- In the "If" section, select "Any of the following conditions" and then choose "Message" from the dropdown menu.
- Select "Contains" and enter the text or phrase you want to search for in the email subject or body.
- You can also choose other conditions like "From", "To", "CC", "BCC", "Has attachment", etc.
Step 3: Set the action
- In the "Do" section, select "Move message" and choose the folder where you want to move the flagged emails.
- Alternatively, you can choose "Flag message" and select the flag color you want to use.
Step 4: Save the rule
- Click "Save" to save the rule.
Now, whenever an email matches the condition you set, it will be flagged with the color you chose.
Example rule: Flag emails from a specific sender
- Condition: "From" contains "[email protected]"
- Action: Flag message with red flag
Whenever an email is received from "[email protected]", it will be flagged with a red flag.
Example rule: Flag emails with a specific subject
- Condition: "Subject" contains " Urgent"
- Action: Flag message with yellow flag
Whenever an email has the subject "Urgent", it will be flagged with a yellow flag.
You can create multiple rules to flag emails based on different conditions. Just remember to save each rule separately!
