Apple mail from address

In Apple Mail, the "From" address is the email address that appears in the "From" field of an email message. This is the address that is used to send the email and is typically the address associated with the email account being used.

To change the "From" address in Apple Mail, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open Apple Mail and compose a new email message.
  2. Click on the "From" field at the top of the message window.
  3. Select "Edit" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Enter the new email address you want to use as the "From" address.
  5. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Alternatively, you can also change the "From" address by going to the "Preferences" menu in Apple Mail and selecting "Accounts". From there, you can select the email account you want to use and click on the "Edit" button next to the "Account Information" section. You can then enter the new email address in the "Email Address" field.

It's worth noting that the "From" address is not the same as the "Reply-To" address, which is the address that is used when someone replies to an email message. You can also change the "Reply-To" address in Apple Mail by going to the "Preferences" menu and selecting "Accounts", then selecting the email account you want to use and clicking on the "Edit" button next to the "Account Information" section.
