Apple mail how to archive emails
Archiving emails in Apple Mail is a great way to keep your inbox organized and free up space on your device. Here's how to do it:
Method 1: Archive emails using the "Archive" button
- Open Apple Mail and select the email you want to archive.
- Click on the "Archive" button in the top-right corner of the screen. It looks like a box with an arrow pointing downwards.
- Alternatively, you can also use the keyboard shortcut "Command + Shift + A" to archive the selected email.
Method 2: Archive emails using the "Move to" feature
- Select the emails you want to archive by holding down the "Command" key and clicking on each email.
- Right-click (or control-click) on one of the selected emails and choose "Move to" from the context menu.
- In the "Move to" window, select "Archive" from the list of folders.
- Click "Move" to move the selected emails to the Archive folder.
Method 3: Archive emails using the "Rules" feature
- Go to Mail > Preferences > Rules.
- Click the "+" button to create a new rule.
- In the "If" section, select "Any" and then "Has attachment" (or any other condition you want to apply).
- In the "Then" section, select "Move message" and choose "Archive" from the list of folders.
