For example, if you're using Gmail, you can enable IMAP by going to the Gmail settings, clicking on the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab, and selecting "Enable IMAP".

Step 2: Set up Apple Mail

Open Apple Mail on your Mac or iOS device. Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences" (or "Settings" on iOS). Click on the "Accounts" tab and then click on the "+" button to add a new account.

Enter your email address, password, and other account settings as prompted. Make sure to select "IMAP" as the account type.
