Apple mail imap mails server löschen

A very specific question!

To delete IMAP emails from Apple Mail on a Mac, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
  2. Select the IMAP account you want to delete emails from in the Mailbox list.
  3. Click on the "Mailbox" menu and select "Edit Mailbox List" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + E).
  4. In the Mailbox List window, select the mailbox you want to delete emails from (e.g. "Inbox", "Sent", etc.).
  5. Click on the "Edit" menu and select "Delete Mailbox" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Delete).
  6. Confirm that you want to delete the mailbox and its contents by clicking "OK" in the warning dialog.

Alternatively, you can also use the "Search" function in Apple Mail to find and delete specific emails:

  1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
  2. Click on the "Search" field at the top of the Mail window.
  3. Enter a search query to find the emails you want to delete (e.g. "from:[email protected]").
  4. Press Enter to execute the search.
  5. Select the emails you want to delete by checking the boxes next to them.
  6. Click on the "Edit" menu and select "Delete Message" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Delete).

Note that when you delete emails from an IMAP account in Apple Mail, they will be permanently deleted from the server and cannot be recovered. Make sure you have backed up your emails or have a copy of them before deleting them.
