Apple mail inbox pause

To pause your Apple Mail inbox, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Pause Inbox using the Mail app

  1. Open the Mail app on your Mac or iOS device.
  2. Click on the "Mail" menu at the top of the screen and select "Preferences" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Comma).
  3. In the Preferences window, click on the "General" tab.
  4. Scroll down to the "Incoming Mail" section and check the box next to "Pause incoming mail".
  5. Choose a time period for how long you want to pause your inbox (e.g., 1 hour, 2 hours, etc.).
  6. Click "OK" to save your changes.

Method 2: Pause Inbox using the iCloud website

  1. Go to the iCloud website (www.icloud.com) and sign in with your Apple ID.
  2. Click on the "Mail" icon.
  3. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select "Settings".
  4. Scroll down to the "General" section and click on "Pause incoming mail".
  5. Choose a time period for how long you want to pause your inbox (e.g., 1 hour, 2 hours, etc.).
  6. Click "Save" to save your changes.

Once you've paused your inbox, you won't receive new emails during the specified time period. When the pause period ends, your inbox will resume receiving new emails as usual.

Note: Pausing your inbox only affects new emails; any emails already in your inbox will remain there.
