Apple mail limit size
The maximum size limit for an email attachment in Apple Mail varies depending on the version of macOS and iOS you're using. Here are the current limits:
macOS:
- macOS High Sierra (10.13) and later: 20 MB
- macOS Sierra (10.12) and earlier: 10 MB
iOS:
- iOS 12 and later: 20 MB
- iOS 11 and earlier: 10 MB
If you try to send an email with an attachment larger than the allowed size, Apple Mail will prompt you to reduce the file size or compress the attachment. You can do this by:
- Compressing the file using an archive utility like ZIP or RAR.
- Reducing the file size by editing or resizing the file.
- Breaking up large files into smaller chunks and sending them separately.
Keep in mind that these limits apply to individual attachments, not the total size of the email. If you need to send larger files, consider using cloud storage services like iCloud, Google Drive, or Dropbox, which allow you to share files of any size.
