Apple mail mark all as read
A common task!
To mark all emails as read in Apple Mail on a Mac, follow these steps:
- Open Apple Mail.
- Click on the "Mail" menu at the top of the screen.
- Select "Mark All" from the drop-down menu.
- Choose "Mark All as Read" from the sub-menu.
Alternatively, you can also use the keyboard shortcut:
- Command (⌘) + A to select all emails in the mailbox.
- Then, press Command (⌘) + Shift + R to mark all selected emails as read.
Note: If you want to mark all emails as read in a specific mailbox or folder, select that mailbox or folder first, and then follow the same steps.
On an iPhone or iPad, you can mark all emails as read in the Apple Mail app by:
- Opening the Apple Mail app.
- Tapping on the "Edit" button in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tapping on "Mark All" at the bottom of the screen.
- Selecting "Mark All as Read" from the menu.
Alternatively, you can also use the swipe gesture:
- Swipe left on an email to reveal the "More" options.
- Tap on "Mark as Read" to mark that email as read.
- Then, tap on the "Edit" button again and select "Mark All" to mark all emails as read.
